Sunpal Group Co., Ltd. and its affiliated brands (collectively, "Sunpal Group," "we," "us," or "our"), including Sunpal Solar, Sunpal PV, Sunpal Energy, and Sunpal Systems, are committed to delivering high-quality, reliable solar energy products. This Warranty Claims Policy outlines the terms and conditions of our product warranties and the process for submitting warranty claims.
1. Warranty Coverage Overview
1.1 Solar PV Modules

1.4 Other Products and Accessories
Mounting systems are covered by a 10-year materials and workmanship warranty. Cables, connectors, monitoring equipment, and other accessories are covered by a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase, unless otherwise specified in the product documentation.
2. Warranty Period Commencement
The warranty period for all Sunpal Group products commences on the earlier of:
- The date of installation as documented on the installation certificate; or
- Six (6) months after the shipment date from Sunpal Group's manufacturing facility.
It is the responsibility of the purchaser or installer to register the product and submit proof of installation date. Failure to provide installation documentation may result in the warranty period being calculated from the shipment date.
3. Geographic Coverage
This warranty applies to products sold and installed in all countries and regions globally, subject to the following conditions:
- The country of original sale, the country of installation, and the country where after-sales service is requested must be consistent, unless otherwise agreed in writing with Sunpal Group or an authorized distributor.
- Warranty coverage may vary by region. Please contact your local Sunpal Group representative or authorized distributor for region-specific warranty terms.
- This warranty does not apply to products resold into markets other than the original market of sale without prior written authorization from Sunpal Group.
4. What Is Covered
This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service conditions, including:
- Manufacturing defects that cause the product to fail to perform in accordance with its published specifications;
- Defects in materials that result in physical failure of the product under normal operating conditions;
- Power output degradation exceeding the guaranteed thresholds specified in Section 1 above;
- Electrical or mechanical failures attributable to manufacturing defects;
- Premature corrosion, delamination, or discoloration of module components caused by manufacturing defects (for PV modules).
5. What Is NOT Covered
5.1 Improper Installation or Use
- Installation not performed in accordance with Sunpal Group's installation guidelines, applicable electrical codes, or local regulations;
- Use of the product in applications or environments for which it was not designed or intended;
- Modification, alteration, or tampering with the product by anyone other than Sunpal Group or its authorized service personnel;
- Connection to equipment or systems not approved or supplied by Sunpal Group.
5.2 External Causes
- Acts of God, including but not limited to lightning strikes, floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, hailstorms, or other natural disasters;
- Physical damage caused by accidents, misuse, abuse, or negligence;
- Damage caused by animals, insects, or other pests;
- Exposure to abnormal environmental conditions, including but not limited to extreme temperatures, salt spray, or chemical exposure beyond the product's rated specifications;
- Vandalism or theft.
5.3 Maintenance and Operation Issues
- Failure to perform required maintenance as specified in the product manual;
- Use of unauthorized replacement parts or accessories;
- Damage caused by improper storage, handling, or transportation after delivery to the customer.
5.4 Cosmetic and Normal Wear
- Normal wear and tear, including surface scratches, minor discoloration, or cosmetic changes that do not affect product performance;
- Fading or discoloration due to normal exposure to sunlight and environmental elements.
5.5 Other Exclusions
- Products with removed, altered, or illegible serial numbers or labels;
- Products that have been repaired by unauthorized service personnel;
- Costs of removal, reinstallation, or transportation of the product for warranty service;
- Loss of power generation revenue or any other consequential, incidental, or indirect losses;
- Damage caused by grid or utility issues, including but not limited to power surges, grid instability, or improper grid connection.
6. Warranty Claim Procedure
If you believe your Sunpal Group product is eligible for a warranty claim, please follow the steps below:

6.1 Required Documentation
Please prepare the following information and documentation:
- Product Information: Product model number, serial number (S/N), and quantity
- Proof of Purchase: Original purchase invoice or receipt from an authorized Sunpal Group distributor or reseller
- Installation Documentation: Installation certificate, date of installation, and installer information
- Evidence of Defect: Clear photographs and/or videos showing the defect or failure; for power output issues, include monitoring data and performance reports
- System Information: For PV modules, include information about the entire system (inverter brand/model, mounting system, orientation, tilt angle); for energy storage systems, include BMS logs if available
- Error Codes: Any error codes or fault messages displayed on the product or monitoring system
7. Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Process
If the return of a defective product is required as part of the warranty claim process:
- Sunpal Group will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before any product is returned;
- Products returned without an RMA number will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender at the sender's expense;
- Sunpal Group will provide return shipping instructions along with the RMA number;
- For approved warranty claims, Sunpal Group will cover authorized sea freight costs for the return of defective products and the shipment of replacement products, subject to the terms agreed upon at the time of the RMA issuance;
- Products must be securely packaged to prevent damage during return shipping. Sunpal Group is not responsible for damage incurred during return shipping due to inadequate packaging.
8. Warranty Transferability
The product warranties provided by Sunpal Group are transferable to subsequent owners of the product, subject to the following conditions:
- The product must remain installed at the original installation site;
- The new owner must notify Sunpal Group of the transfer in writing within 30 days of the change of ownership;
- All original warranty documentation, including proof of purchase and installation records, must be provided to the new owner;
- The warranty period is not extended or reset upon transfer.

10. Extended Warranty Options
Sunpal Group offers extended warranty programs for select products. Extended warranty coverage may be available for purchase at the time of product purchase or within a specified period after installation. Important: Extended warranty applications must be submitted within 2 years of the product installation date. Applications submitted after this period will not be accepted.
11. Limitation of Warranty Liability
11.1 Exclusive Remedy
THE REMEDIES SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY POLICY (REPAIR, REPLACEMENT, OR REFUND) ARE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES AVAILABLE TO THE CLAIMANT FOR ANY WARRANTY CLAIM. SUNPAL GROUP'S TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT.
11.2 Exclusion of Consequential Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SUNPAL GROUP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ANY WARRANTY CLAIM, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: LOSS OF POWER GENERATION REVENUE OR PROFITS; LOSS OF USE OF THE PRODUCT OR SYSTEM; COSTS OF REMOVAL OR REINSTALLATION OF THE PRODUCT; COSTS OF SYSTEM DOWNTIME OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION; OR ANY OTHER ECONOMIC LOSS.
11.3 No Other Warranties
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY POLICY, SUNPAL GROUP MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO ITS PRODUCTS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO THE ABOVE EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
12. Warranty Claim Submission Deadlines
To be eligible for warranty service, warranty claims must be submitted:
- For materials and workmanship defects: Within the applicable warranty period and no later than 60 days after the defect is first discovered;
- For power output performance claims: Within the applicable warranty period and supported by at least 12 months of performance monitoring data demonstrating consistent underperformance.
Claims submitted after these deadlines may not be accepted.
13. Governing Law
This Warranty Claims Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located at Sunpal Group's registered address.
